I began my artistic journey as a fashion Illustrator in NYC, illustrating for world renowned companies.. like Gucci, Womens Wear Daily, etc.

Through my creative process, I was recruited by a huge shoe company designing and creating slippers for licensed companies.like Hello Kitty, Gi Joe, Teenage Mutant Ninjas Etc.

I have developed a signature technique in creating ceramic sculptures with a fresh sophistication that links narrative figurative fine art with fashion illustration and old rusty found objects to help the stories unfold.

I fuse objet trouve' with icons of modernity. These unlikely juxtapositions of image, narrative and time inspire my art.

Regarding my influences, the list is long. It encompasses my world in fashion, the gifted people who have been my teachers and the artists who are friends and collaborators.  

Process
By looking closely you will see I create a world and tell a story, combining discarded relics with my clay figures.

​Each figure is hand built. Finishing requires layers of paint and cold finishes and then the fun begins. I construct and assemble one by one all the "treasures" I find in junkyards or on the street, which might include rusty gears, chandelier parts, sari threads and small airplane parts.
